Puy de Gaudy trail

This route is part of the marked trails of the Monts de Guéret area. The start is at the parking lot of the Monts de Guéret animal park "Loups de Chabrières." The Puy de Gaudy trail is route number 6 among the various trail routes in Monts de Guéret.

This route allows trail runners to reach the summit of Puy de Gaudy and its 650 meters, offering a superb panorama of the Monts d'Auvergne. This route is rather demanding in terms of elevation gain but of a reasonable distance, suitable for all types of trail runners. However, it is better to be in good physical condition, as some passages are challenging. 

There are numerous sights to admire along the trail, whether in the Chabrières forest or through various quarries. A perfect route to follow the remains of an occupation of this place since prehistoric times.
