From the spa town of Ax-les-Thermes, start the Ariege Pyrenees mountain bike tour amidst the Pyrenean peaks.
This demanding stage calls for short bursts that will allow you to enjoy a view of the Ariège Pyrenees from the Domaine du Chioula, before embarking on a superb single track in the Prades forest.
You continue on to the Plateau de Sault, a well-known stage on the Chemin des Bonhommes, to reach the Gorges de la Frau, a technical descent that requires you to dismount in case of rain.
This is followed by a highly technical climb with a steep gradient, inviting you to push your bike to be rewarded at the end of your stage by the Ariège's historic landmark: Montségur castle.
