THE CROSSES OF SERVIAN ROUTE – BÉZIERS MEDITERRANÉE MOUNTAIN BIKE AREA - FFC

The longest of the offered routes, because it takes you into “space-time”. That of the crossroads crosses... Because in the early days of Christianity, it was said that at every crossroads the devil was watching, and a cross was supposed to keep him away, protecting the traveler’s soul!

In the time of Roman centurions and monks (the Amilhac estate is named after the centurion Amellus, who built his villa at this very spot; it was also a monastery and still has a Romanesque chapel).

In the time of medieval fortresses, like the Hermitage of Combas, with its machicolations. And all this, amidst a mantle of vineyards, embroidered with paths, cypress, and pine trees.
