The last stage of the ViaRhôna, this route takes you from Aigues-Mortes to the port of Sète, between the Mediterranean and salt ponds. You'll skirt the Canal du Rhône à Sète, pass through La Grande Motte and its emblematic architecture, wind along the lido between sea and lagoons, and take a detour to Maguelone cathedral with the Gardiole massif as a backdrop. This stretch combines coastal landscapes, picturesque villages and seaside resorts, punctuated by gourmet stops to savor seafood and local wines. Arrival at the port of Sète, on the shores of the Etang de Thau, marks the end of the cycling adventure.

This stage marks the end of the journey, with the Mediterranean Sea and its beaches now within wheel's reach. After skirting the Canal du Rhône à Sète between Aigues-Mortes and Le Grau du Roi, you're now off to the Mediterranean beaches, resorts and entertainment. ViaRhôna runs through the "20th century heritage" pyramids of La Grande Motte, then along the lido between sea and salt ponds, to the foot of the Palavas-les-Flots lighthouse, close to the city of Montpellier. So grab your towels and swimsuits!

From Palavas-les-Flots, near Montpellier, the route winds its way between lagoons and Mediterranean beaches. Don't miss the detour to Maguelone cathedral, where you'll see the Gardiole massif covered in garrigue as a backdrop. A shellfish tasting accompanied by a Muscat de Frontignan will be the rewards of this final leg. Arrival at the port of Sète, on the shores of the Etang de Thau, marks the end of the adventure.
