The paddling route starts at the Urajärvi boat launch site, where you can easily get into the kayak from the shore. You can paddle the circular route in either direction – when heading north, you can follow the shores, admire the beautiful smooth rocks, and get a feel for paddling.
Weather permitting, the route continues towards Palolahti and turns south towards Anhavaistensaari. From Anhavaistensaari, you can head towards Kiepinvuori on Pukkisaari, where you will find a small and beautiful landing spot, the Tiltunkolo campfire site. The journey continues from Pukkisaari towards Pellonlahti and from there following the shores back to the Urajärvi boat launch site. You can also shorten the route if you wish.
NOTE! Always remember to consider the weather when paddling; in strong winds, it is advisable to stay close to the shores.
Basic equipment for the paddler: kayak/canoe, paddle, life jacket, rescue equipment (pump, tow rope, paddle float), water bottle, and first aid kit.
Bring your play equipment.
Pay attention to the weather and any changes in it. Land if necessary.
Do not paddle alone.
It is good for beginner paddlers to stay close to the shores.
Be aware of other water users, as there are many boaters on Urajärvi.
The route starts at the Urajärvi boat launch site, located at Uimarintie 5, 47400 Iitti.
There is a large parking area at the boat launch site where you can park.

If you want to stay overnight, you can find Lomakivi and Radalla Resort nearby. You can do your grocery shopping at Radansuu Village Shop and there is a café at Iitti Golf.
