PRALORMO - Ring around the Lake of the Thorn

It starts in front of the Parish of Sts. James and Donatus, a scenic spot of granade value a few meters from Pralormo Castle, in whose Park the annual spring flower show "Messer Tulipano" takes place.

Leaving the village in the direction of Cellarengo, turn onto a path that leads into the woods. Here the terrain is rougher but there is a unique landscape. Leaving the clearing, one turns onto a dirt road that becomes paved and leads up to the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of the Thorn, a scenic viewpoint of great scope but above all an important place of worship. The road continues downhill to Lake della Spina, an ideal spot for a restorative break, before taking the loop trail around it and climbing back into the village to the starting point.

In warm weather it is possible to rent bicycles on the lakeshore and ride the loop from the refreshment point.
