Trail No. 10: Colle San Bartolomeo d'Ormea - Colle San Bartolomeo di Garessio

Walking along narrow pathways you cross over Monte Galero (1708 m), a beautiful pyramid–shaped mountain which offers the spectator magnificent panoramic views. There are some rather inaccessible spots along the route, especially on the south–westerly spur of Monte Galero. Remember that mist can rise quite suddenly out of the blue on these mountains, making it difficult to keep your sense of direction. In winter, the crossing can be much more difficult due to snow and ice, making it necessary to use an ice axe and crampons.
