Departing from the Rivetti Refuge, you take the E60 path which, passing by Alpe Anval (crossroads with the ancient mule track to the Mologna Piaccola), enter the woods along the left bank of the Mologna, pass the huts of the Mont and go to Piedicavallo. Once in the village, turning right from Via Lamarmora, cross the Mologna stream and go down to Piazzale Ravere. Cross the Cervo, passing over the ancient stone bridge called "punt d'la cua" and turn left onto the slightly downhill E40 path, which then becomes flat; the trail climbs gently uphill again through the beech woods to the huts of Alpe Coda. Cross the Rio Coda where, following floods, the path has been modified, and then resume the old trail that has a moderate and constant gradient. After crossing the Rio Jervas and after a few long hairpin bends, you leave the wood to reach the Selle di Rosazza, known as "il Balcun" and continue through the pastures to the Madonna della Neve Refuge; following the E32 trail sign, you now descend to Desate and then meet the E30 mule track that leads to the village of Rosazza. From here, descend along the provincial road SP100 for about 500 metres to the Concresio bridge and then take the E29 mule track that connects to the Sanctuary of San Giovanni d'Andorno.
