Valle Bronda Trekking | Stage 1 Borgo Testa Nera (Castellar) - Pagno

After about 1.5 km, a country road branches off on the right which reaches the characteristic and evocative chapel of San Ponzio, an interesting addition to the stage. After 3km of road, you reach the camper and play area in the town of Castellar. Continue on the dirt path which with some hairpin bends leads to the castle, a place of rare historical/landscape beauty; having reached this point, we continue along the asphalt road which climbs steadily and steadily with some steep ramps between still inhabited rural areas, until we reach the ridge between the Po valley. Here the road flattens out and, with a quiet and undulating path between chestnut woods, reaches the crossroads located just below the chapel of San Grato (617 m), a panoramic point towards the Po Valley. From here you go down left onto via San Grato until you reach a crossroads from which you continue left, on the path called Rabiniello which arrives in Via Barba; Once here, the itinerary connects to the provincial road of Valle Bronda SP47, and you reach the center of the town of Pagno at the large central square.
