In picturesque Radebeul, a diverse program of festivals comes to life throughout the year. Each season brings its own highlights – from wild Western adventures to a magical Christmas market.
In early summer (May/June), the Karl May Festival Days captivate fans of Winnetou and Old Shatterhand with horseback shows and campfire romance. Around the same time, the Radebeul Kasperiade – one of Germany’s most charming puppet theatre festivals – transforms the town into a paradise for young theatre enthusiasts.
Summer (June to September) is all about the arts: during “Art Goes into Gardens”, private and public green spaces are turned into open-air galleries waiting to be explored.
The highlight of autumn (September) is the Autumn and Wine Festival with the International Itinerant Theatre Festival, where Altkötzschenbroda becomes the stage for Saxon wine culture. Local winemakers present their finest wines, accompanied by music, theatre, and regional delicacies.
The year concludes with the enchanting Christmas market “Shining Lights and Festive Magic”, which transforms the village green of Kötzschenbroda into a winter fairytale.
