The third stage runs along the Wine Route to Villa Ludwigshöhe Castle and to Edenkoben.
UFFBASSE! - Campaign for considerate coexistence in nature
Being considerate on the way - Always behave in a foresighted, friendly, and considerate manner towards everyone you meet along the way. This is especially true on agricultural paths where winegrowers, farmers, and foresters also work on weekends.
Picnic & rubbish - Remember to take a rubbish bag with you and carry your trash back home. Only use the furnished rest areas for breaks and picnics.

The next morning you leave Siebeldingen the same way you arrived the day before, heading towards Geilweilerhof. You reach it by turning left onto Dagobertstraße via the Wine Route, walk a short stretch on Dagobertstraße, then turn half-left at the fork in the road towards the vineyards. Now you pass the Geilweilerhof and continue to St. Johann, where you meet the main route of the Keschdeweg again.
Then continue via St. Johann on a short path through the forest, after which you reach Ringelsbergstraße in Frankweiler. Follow Ringelsbergstraße to the end, then continue onto "Steigerter Hof" street, which leads you through the Hainbach valley. You cross the Hainbach stream and then proceed to Lindenallee, which leads you to Gleisweiler. At Badstraße, turn left onto Sommerhaltweg, which leads you back towards the forest. Along the way, you pass the subtropical park of the Gleisweiler sanatorium – take a short break here or visit briefly the "Palatinate Nice," as Gleisweiler is also called.
Back on Sommerhaltweg, follow the "Red Bar" marking to the St. Annagut estate tavern. From here, you can take a detour to the wine and pilgrimage village Burrweiler or continue directly to St. Anna Chapel and St. Anna Hut. Back on the Keschdeweg, hike past Buschmühle to the Schweizer Haus.
From Schweizer Haus, the last section of our route leads you to the Rietania Hut. From there, proceed under mighty chestnut trees to Villa Ludwigshöhe Castle, the summer residence of King Ludwig I of Bavaria (currently closed due to extensive renovation work). A detour with the chairlift to the managed ruins of Rietburg is worthwhile here. A trip to Rhodt and Rietburg to the natural monument chestnut tree avenue "Theresienstraße" is also recommended. Back at Villa Ludwigshöhe, you reach the town center of Edenkoben, the endpoint of the day’s stage, via Villastraße. Tip: At the Villastraße junction, there is also a wine educational path with an open-air museum.
Attention: At the beginning of 2020, the final construction phase of the renovation of Villa Ludwigshöhe near Edenkoben began.
During this time, the villa will remain closed for two years until the start of the summer season 2022.
