Around Neukirchen

The route starts at Klaffenbach Water Castle and leads along the street "Zum Gewerbegebiet" up to the event and meeting center "NETZ-Werk." There we cross the street and pass by the Bike Park into the forest. 

The path is repeatedly crossed by the egg transport belts of the company "Eifrisch." At the end of the woodland, a rest area invites for a short break. Then the path continues through the fields with a beautiful view of the surroundings. Soon we take the return route through the residential area of the community. Here you can get refreshments in the various cafés and restaurants.

The area can be reached by car from the A 4 motorway, Chemnitz Mitte exit via the B 95 towards Annaberg, and from the A 72 motorway, Stollberg exit via the B 169 to Neukirchen.

The water castle can be reached by train line C11 (Neukirchen-Klaffenbach station).

At Klaffenbach Water Castle, visitors have free access to about 350 parking spaces, 12 disabled parking spaces, and two bus parking spaces. Fees may be charged during events.
