Goblin Path to the Future Forest

Small and large visitors are accompanied along the approximately 1 kilometer long path (one-way) by 19 goblins and forest inhabitants. The imaginatively designed signposts point the way to the trees of the baby cohort 2024. For even more variety on the path, which is also easily passable with strollers, there is a forest playground, and young hikers can practice cone target throwing. To help families easily find their way, the path is clearly marked with a yellow goblin motif.

Background to the creation of the goblin path:

Since 2024, there has been a separate "small Future Forest" in Plauen for each baby cohort. The Future Forests create something lasting. Parents and children can visit the sites with the trees planted in their birth year together and enjoy watching the trees grow—just like the children. A natural life course whose development can be followed over decades and, depending on the development phase of the young trees, also visited. Growing up together thus takes on a new dimension. To make visiting the Future Forest even more experiential for residents and guests, the goblin path was developed.
