The trail continues to the mystical “Schwarze Lacke”, a special natural site and place of energy, before heading on to the Kleinbergalm with its sunny terrace and regional specialities. After a stop here, a final, partly steep descent leads back to Filzmoos. This varied loop combines sporting challenge, impressive scenery, and numerous culinary stops into an unforgettable MTB experience.
The MTB pleasure route "Schwarze Lacke Loop" starts at the Experience Portal Filzmoos. Along the bike path beside the state road, we ride towards Neuberg. After just 2 km, the Kirchgasshof-Eisstadl tempts with genuine farm ice cream. After a few meters, we turn left onto the Neubergstraße bike and footpath to arrive after 2.5 km at the MTB starting point Neuberg near the Landhotel Alpenhof. From there, we ride uphill along the Fritzbach, shortly before the hamlet of Vierthal we cross the stream over a wooden bridge and quickly gain altitude. From here, the route continues on gravel on Wurmegg Street. After about 6 km, there is the option to take a detour to Schwaigalm. The cozy cabin and the apple strudel with vanilla sauce are definitely worth the additional 15 minutes. The loop continues with a moderate incline and leads to the legendary power spot Schwarze Lacke, a true natural spectacle. It is said that the energy of this power spot serves for expanding consciousness as well as self-healing. Via the well-maintained path we continue to Kleinbergalm, which attracts with a sun terrace and regional specialties. Finally, there is a rather steep descent back to the starting point in the center of Filzmoos.

Coming from Ramsau am Dachstein: At the roundabout, take the exit towards Neuberg – shortly after the gas station, turn left. There is a public paid parking lot opposite the gas station.
Continue by bus or taxi: From Eben im Pongau or Radstadt, bus line 521 goes directly to Filzmoos, stop Neuberg/Reitsteg (travel time approx. 20–30 minutes). Alternatively, taxis are available at the station.
Tip: The buses do not run very frequently – check the timetable in advance and whether the bus also transports bicycles on ÖBB
With the Fidibus summer service: From Hotel Neubergerhof, the Fidibus Summer (hiking bus) takes you from Neuberg to Filzmoos, stopping at the “Ortsmitte” (village center) bus stop. Here you can find the timetable.
There is a public paid parking lot opposite the gas station.
