Filzmoos - Castle Goldegg

This varied e-bike tour starts at the Filzmoos adventure portal and initially follows the main road towards Eben im Pongau. After Hotel Unterhof, the route continues on well-developed cycle paths, passing the sports field until reaching Gasthof Krahlehenhof. You then cross the main road once and continue again on the cycle path to the kindergarten. Shortly before the Neuberg junction, you return to the asphalt road and continue to Eben im Pongau. Before the climb towards the village center, turn right before the bridge and follow the idyllic Fritzbachtal along the stream until it joins the B99 towards Niedernfritz. From there, the route continues past Gasthof Brunnhäusl along the main road to Bischofshofen. In Bischofshofen, you follow the Tauern Cycle Path to Schwarzach. From Schwarzach, the route leads through the so-called “Putzengraben”, passing Schloss Schernberg, and continues to Goldegg. The destination is the picturesque castle area by the moor lake, where Schloss Goldegg, originally built in the 14th century as a defensive castle, is now a cultural and meeting place. It houses the local heritage museum, the well-known art academy, and the cultural association, which offers a varied program throughout the year. In the historic knight’s hall, with its ornate Renaissance wood paneling considered one of Salzburg’s most valuable treasures, weddings are also held. This destination combines scenic variety with a remarkable cultural highlight.
