For 20 years, wonderful figures made of fragrant hay have been carefully crafted for the large HeuART Festival in Lammertal during the Bauernherbst. To allow visitors to admire these lovely creations throughout the year, a hay figure trail was established on the Reinischweg in Annaberg.
The Reinischweg starting from Kopfbergbahn parking lot in the center of Annaberg – towards the local history museum – is signposted and stroller-friendly. This allows young and older hikers to easily enter the mystical and exciting world above. You will also find the coveted Cleverix stamp at the Kopfberg parking lot, opposite the information office.
For a refreshment break, visit the Gasthof Dolomitenhof, the Jausenstation Harreit, or the Café-Bistro Das Hannes in the upper half of the path (please observe quiet times).
Return is either on the same way or via hiking path no. 52 (alpine trail – not stroller-friendly! – can be slippery when wet).
From the parking lot, head into the village of Annaberg, passing the Gasthof Post and the bakery. Shortly after, a yellow hiking sign points right uphill towards Reinischweg/Hay Figure Trail. The paved road leads steeply uphill for a short section before turning right (just before the local history museum Gererhof) onto the forest road. The path is stroller-friendly, and you will spot funny hay figures at nearly every bend. After reaching the paved road again, you can turn left at the Salzburger Dolomitenhof (here is the HeuART gallery with stamp station) or a bit further ahead stop at the Café-Bistro Das Hannes (please observe quiet times), or take the road uphill on the right until the signpost to "Kopflackenmann" points the way. From this legendary spot, you can continue towards the Jausenstation Harreit (please observe quiet times) and further around Kopfberg, or take the alpine trail back down into the valley (not stroller-friendly) or turn around and take the hay figure trail back.

The alpine trail from Kopflackenmann is steeper and not suitable for strollers. It can also be slippery after rain.
Free parking at Kopfbergbahn - Annaberg town center (cable car not operating in summer)
The upper section of the hay figure trail also forms part of the GaudiGolf course, which combines play and fun with a hike. Equipment is available at the Salzburger Dolomitenhof (open mid-May to mid-October).
