Salzburger Gipfelspiel: To the Gerzkopf and the Schwarzen Lacke

The hike starts at the Knappbauer car park at 1,180 meters elevation. From there, it goes about 1 km along a forest road, then over a hiking trail through wooded areas and dwarf pine fields to the summit. From the summit cross, it is about a 15-minute walk through a wonderful dwarf pine field to the sheep hut (rest stop).

Tauernautobahn A 10, exit 60 Eben, then at the roundabout take Filzmooserstraße to Schattbach to the Schattbachwinkel junction on the left side. Continue on the road to the Knappbauer car park (Schattbachwinkel 35, 5531 Eben im Pongau).

Postbus line 521 (to Filzmoos), get off at Schattbach stop (about 1 hour on foot to the starting point).

The Knappbauer car park is free of charge.
