The way to Mrzlica, which is also a checkpoint on the Slovenian tour-biking trail, starts in Žalec, at the first beer fountain in the world. From there we cycle towards the village of Griže. We follow the blue mountain bike trail markings to the fork at the Špajzer homestead, where we turn to the grassy mountain saddle. Markings lead us all the way to the Mrzlica mountain cabin, a popular destination with stunning views. When we descend to the fork in the Igriše village, we can continue to Šmohor, which offers a magnificent descent to the valley. In Petrovče we turn towards Žalec and take a scenic route through the hop fields.
