The starting point is the marketplace in Königsee on Federal Road 88. From here, the route initially leads in the direction of the town forest. Over the forest edge route, you pass the Rehwinkel, via the Langen Anger to Pennewitz.
From there, it continues past Pennewitz airfield to Jesuborn. Via quiet secondary roads, you then reach the town of Gehren. A detour to the Gehren castle ruin is worthwhile: it offers insights into the history of the region and a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape.
The tour continues to Langewiesen and then runs on sections of the popular Ilmtal bike path. Along the quiet river course, one passes the traditional Annawerk and continues to Gräfinau-Angstedt.
From there, the route leads over the Rinntalradweg through natural valley landscapes, past Gottholz and the Langen Linie. Over the historic Alte Ackertor, cyclists return to Rehwinkel and finally back to the starting point in Königsee.
The circular tour impresses with its varied route, nature-close bike paths, cultural sights, and offers numerous opportunities to rest and enjoy along the way.
