Circular hike - Kloster circular route - Bad Salzungen

This varied circular hike leads through historic sites and offers wonderful natural experiences.

The route starts at the parking lot at the Frankenstein art ruin and initially follows the Werra Castle Trail, a well-known long-distance hiking trail with impressive landscape views. After a moderate ascent, you reach the Klosterberg, which invites you to linger with its peaceful atmosphere.

From there, it continues over the Hohleberg hill, an idyllic section with forest paths and gentle slopes. Then the path leads via Am Bohnengrund towards Allendorf Kloster, a historic site with an interesting past. A short stop here is worthwhile to explore the surroundings.

The last section of the route leads back to the Frankenstein art ruin, where the circular route closes again and returns to the starting point at the parking lot.
