Stoneman Miriquidi Road stage 10 Nova Ves v Horach - Zoopark Chomutov

From Nová Ves v Horách (mountain village), the trail continues uphill to the west. In the north, you can soon catch a glimpse of the lookout tower of the small town of St. Katharinaberg, which offers a great panoramic view of the German-Czech Ore Mountains. If you don't take this detour off the route, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view at the Malý Háj mountain church. From here, the trail continues through the dense Miriquidi forest to Kalek (Kallich). The place name comes from the lime burning that was practiced here for centuries. Continuing southwards, the Stoneman route separates from the course of the Biela River at the village of Mezihori and turns off towards the next checkpoint on the Stoneman-Miriquidi Road: Chomutov.
