This 12 km outing between the resort and pastures, of moderate difficulty, is a final test before you tackle the more difficult routes offered at Crans-Montana. The route offers a good compromise between all terrains: asphalt, dirt road, and trail.
The itinerary is a loop. It starts at Lac de la Moubra and climbs up to the Crans-Montana resort. After passing by Lac Grenon, you start the ascent on the alpine pasture, heading towards Arnouva, where skiing takes place in winter. From this point, it is possible to make a small detour to the Corbyre alpine pasture where you can taste some local cheeses. After pedaling to Courtavey and crossing the area of the mayens, you descend through Plumachit and the Barzettes to return to the starting point and maybe refresh and relax at the Lac Moubra beach, which is suitable for swimming. Here, you will find two restaurants with very welcoming terraces. A large part of the loop is on paved roads and dirt paths. It crosses the resort, forest areas, and pastures. Stops can be planned at several points along the route, for example at the Arnouva restaurant.

To reach Crans-Montana by car, take the A9 motorway exit (Rhône motorway) named "Sierre ouest." At the motorway exit, turn left and follow the signs indicating "Sierre." Upon reaching the roundabout, turn right. Continue for 500 meters, then at the entrance to Sierre, turn left towards "Crans-Montana." Take the Crans-Montana Route to the junction of the former pneumology center. Then follow the Route de la Moubra on your right, then take the second exit at the roundabout towards Lac Moubra. The trip duration is about 20 minutes.
From Crans-Montana: reach the center of Montana and go down the Route de la Moubra to Lac Moubra.
The Crans-Montana resort is accessible from the Sierre train station by the SMC bus company or the funicular, as well as from the Sion train station by postal buses. Additionally, free shuttles from the SMC bus company serve the entire Crans-Montana resort.
The closest stop to the start of this route is "Lac Moubra" on line 433.
Free parking is available at La Moubra.
