The ascent to the thermal resort of Ovronnaz begins in the middle of the vineyard above the village of Leytron. The ascent is irregular, but on the first kilometers, considerable gradients await you. From the village of Dugny, it continues more regularly uphill. This ascent offers a beautiful view of central Valais and an unobstructed view of the Rhone Valley, especially of a part of the Chamoson vineyard, the largest in Switzerland by area. The route snakes parallel to the Salentse through pastures and coniferous forests. On the way to Ovronnaz, you are accompanied by a fantastic view of the Grand Muveran.
Take the opportunity to refill your water bottle at the fountain in the valley start in Leytron and get information about your ascent at the starting point. The traffic signs towards Ovronnaz as well as four signs of the Valais cycle route marking indicate your ascent. In the center of Ovronnaz, turn right and follow the signs to the thermal baths, which are less than two kilometers below the destination. At the end point of the route, next to a small square: sit down and calmly admire the altitude you have reached.
