Elsenfeld district Rück: Via Eichelsbach and the Himmelthal monastery through the vineyards back to the car park in Churfranken

You walk past the garages and follow the "Red X" marking through the forest up to Eichelsbach. At the Eichelsbacher Höhe, rewarding views of the ridges of the Spessart and the Main valley await you. Before the village entrance, you meet at the signpost "Sommerauer Weg" the Franconian Mary’s Way, which you follow to the right past a Marian chapel towards Himmelthal. After crossing the Elsava, leave the Mary’s Way at the signpost "Himmelthal Ost", turn right there, and follow the Franconian Red Wine Hiking Trail through the monastery courtyard. The path leads past Rück over the vineyards back to the nature park hiking car park "Übergang Weinberg".

A3 to Stockstadt exit, continue on B469 towards Miltenberg to Elsenfeld exit, then follow the signs to Rück.

By train from the direction of Aschaffenburg or Miltenberg to Obernburg-Elsenfeld stop. Then continue by bus line 64 towards Elsenfeld-Rück. Get off at the Rück-Alte Schule stop.
