The Tieber Leisure Centre – Endless Fun

The Tieber Leisure Centre has always been owned by the Tieber family and was established in the 1970s as a gravel pit, where gravel was extracted until the mid-1980s.

Once the gravel deposits had been exhausted, the gravel pit was officially converted into a swimming pond in 1987 and has been the TFZ ever since.

In addition to sporting facilities such as beach volleyball courts, a campsite with permanent pitches, and catering facilities, the site naturally also features sanitary facilities such as toilets, changing rooms and showers. The newly built lake pavilion has been in place since 2002.

The pond has drinking water quality and undergoes water quality checks twice a year by the Graz Institute of Hygiene. The water depth of 3–10 metres ensures consistent water quality.

The water temperature ranges between 22 and 26 °C
