The ruins of Falkenstein castle, built in the 12th century, offer a breathtaking panoramic view.
Historical markers dating from the 17th century punctuate the route. Other sights reveal themselves along the way, such as the Erbsenfelsen rock with its arch. The peat bog path of the Hanau pond completes this discovery-filled hike.
Note: a landslide in spring 2020 caused the temporary closure of the castle. The ruin is currently inaccessible, but the nearby hiking trails are all passable.
