Beautiful circular hiking trail on lonely paths in idyllic countryside. The circular trail begins at the village square and first leads through the alley up to the Valserhof. At the first junction, turn left and follow the prepared road to the right. Past the Rongg chapel, then go down to the right to Illagrass. After the bridge, follow the Peilerstrasse to Gross-Cheer. Finally, the path leads along the Zerfreila road back to Vals.
From the village square, go up the alley to the Hotel Valserhof. From there, through idyllic countryside via Rongg - Illagrass to the Polenhütte, where you reach the Peilerstrasse (not passable by car in winter). Descent to Gross-Cheer and via Zerfreila road to Vals.
Solid, warm clothing. Winter hiking boots, sun protection. Mobile phone. Possibly poles or shoe spikes.

By SBB to Chur, from Chur to Ilanz by RhB and to Vals (PostBus stop Post) by PostBus.
