Willingen-Schwalefeld (S1)

The route leads through the village of Schwalefeld upwards into the upper Aartal and past the barbecue station. Then you cross the Aar and at the foot of the Orenberg you reach the large open area with beautiful views. The path then continues steeply up the Orenberg. From the summit cross, you have a wonderful view of Willingen and the surrounding landscape. From here, the route leads only downhill, passing the former Iberg ski lift back to Schwalefeld.

Sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, packed lunch, and sufficient fluids (water, tea) are recommended.

By car via the B251 to Willingen (Upland), then to Schwalefeld, turn into "Zur Kirchwiese" street in the village center

Bus/train to Willingen station, then continue by bus or on-call taxi, stop Schwalefeld, Upländer Hof
