Running and experiencing nature – two basic needs that come together in the new Running and Trailrunning Arena Villach Warmbad. The network of the newly developed Running and Trailrunning Arena offers seven selected running and trailrunning routes with a total length of over 50 km. Diverse natural spectacles meet varied running experiences!
Starting from the Sportpark starting point, follow the running signage along the Warmbach to the walking and cycling path at the Gail. Follow the paved riverside path upstream to the Gail bridge near Müllnern. Here, cross to the other bank and run downstream to the bridge at Tschinowitsch. Again, change the bank and run upstream to the wooden bridge at the Zillerbach. Along the Zillerbach, return to the starting point. Endurance runners can extend the route from the Tschinowitsch bridge to Maria Gail and cross the river there via the bridge (total length: 14.1 km).

The route mainly runs over steep forest and woodland paths that require a safe, coordinated, and controlled running technique. Two different runner icons were developed to distinguish the trail running routes from the normal running routes and are shown on every additional sign.
The Warmbad spa resort is accessible via the Tauern motorway (A10), the South motorway (A2) toward Italy (Warmbad-Villach exit) and Warmbader Allee.
Warmbad-Villach is reachable at regular intervals by public transport.
There are plenty of paid parking spaces at the Carinthia Thermal Spa. However, there are also free parking spaces nearby.
