The route starts at the former lift hut and leads along the slope. Then you go along the alpine meadow until you reach the Iron Cross. From here, head south until you reach the summit cross of Gertrusk - including a magnificent panorama!
The descent is along the same path as the ascent.
It is possible to extend the route to Ladinger Spitz.
Weißbergerhütte - along the piste - along the alpine meadow - Iron Cross (1,958m altitude) - summit Gertrusk (2,044m altitude).

In the small village of Wieting, coming from Brückl turn right or from Hüttenberg turn left onto Saualmstraße towards Oberwietingberg and further to the Weißbergerhütte - about 15 minutes' drive from Wieting (beware of partly gravel roads).
