Starting from the district administration park in Brilon, the route briefly takes us through the town centre of the old Hanseatic city. We leave the town behind and pass through the Hexenstein nature reserve. The Seeschultenmühle, one of five former Aamühlen in the Aa valley, is passed. The valley invites you to take a short break. The Aa is a small (7.4 km long) river that rises in Altenbüren and flows as a tributary into the Möhne.
From now on, the route leads through beautiful and hilly landscape across the Escherfeld. The route continues past the Feldberg to the disappearing streams. Here, streams disappear underground. The limestone landscape of the Brilon plateau is responsible for this special phenomenon.
After the glider airfield, the only difficult climb follows, after which we can roll comfortably back into Brilon, enjoying the view of the town and the surrounding landscape. There are numerous places to stop for refreshments in Brilon.
