Boucle du lac de la Prade

The protected ornithological reserve of Lac de La Prade, 5 km from Bazas, is home to exceptional flora and fauna. Set amidst rolling hills, the immense reservoir provides a peaceful setting for birdwatching. A large colony of grey herons makes its home here, alongside pairs of great crested grebes. The lake's slopes are also one of Gironde's priority sites for dry orchid lawns. Fishing pontoons and picnic tables are available for walkers.
