The museum's permanent exhibition presents woodwind, brass and percussion instruments, musicians' clothing and numerous other objects since the 19th century relating to the history of wind music in Austria. These include various drum wagons, conductor's batons, development of music printing, original scores and sheet music.
A variety of woodwind, brass and percussion instruments, the most beautiful costumes and uniforms of brass bands from all over Austria, a documentation and gallery with the "greats" of Austrian brass music, from the beginnings to the present, a scientific as well as for everyone worth knowing sound slide show and much more, convey the "phenomenon of brass music".
