This cycle route, suitable for city bike, mountain bike or gravel, connects the Savoy Residences around the city of Turin, and consists of a loop of over 90 km through protected and mixed paths (asphalt and dirt).
It can be traveled entirely or partially, reaching some of the Savoy Royal Residences, UNESCO heritage since 1997. The Palace of Venaria, the Castle of Rivoli, the Hunting Lodge of Stupinigi, the Castle of Moncalieri, also enjoying the greenery of parks and protected areas.
The app, "Corona in bici" can be downloaded for smartphones and tablets from the Google Play portal. The app is geolocated and allows orientation along the route, also calculating the distance from the destination from the point where you are.
The Corona di delizie in bicicletta app was created from an idea of the Territorial Pact Western Zone of Turin and was funded by the Piedmont Region as part of the interregional project "Cycling tourism and other routes to discover landscape, culture and faith".
The loop can be faced in both directions. Clockwise, starting from the church of Gran Madre or from Valentino Park, continue towards Moncalieri. Near the Grinto camping, cross Corso Unità d’Italia using a pedestrian bridge. Then follow the cycle path and the banks of the Sangone to the Mausoleum of Bela Rosin. From here cross the Sangone and Nichelino woods. Continue to Stupinigi along some variants to the cycle path or along the cycle path of Via Venticinque Aprile. From Borgaretto join the cycle path running along the Sangone to Rivalta Torinese (Bicigrill). From Rivalta follow the cycle path to Rivoli and reach the Castle. From Rivoli continue to Alpignano, Pianezza, San Pancrazio and Mandria Park. Leaving the Palace of Venaria continue towards Borgaro, then Settimo and San Mauro, from where you return to Turin, following the river upstream.
