Itinerary Castellania - Oropa

Lakes, rivers and hills, up to the Alps: this route is an overview of the natural, historical and agricultural landscapes of Piedmont, even more beautiful when experienced from the saddle of a bicycle. It starts from Acqui Terme and reaches the Sanctuary of Oropa, passing through Monferrato and Castellania - the birthplace of Serse and Fausto Coppi - retracing the roads of the Giro d'Italia of the 100th edition which dedicated a special stage. Here the road rears up with emotions with the legendary Oropa climb tackled in the final stage of the Giro d'Italia 2017 (the Castellania Oropa/Biella), a stretch that everyone knows as "the Pantani climb" through the Zegna Oasis, the extraordinary natural park of the Biella Alps.
