Rittisberg: the adventure mountain

In the “Ramsau Beach” leisure park, at the foot of the Rittisberg, you can play and splash around to your heart's content. Young and old water rats alike will find a wealth of leisure activities here: the “Pirate's Nest” children's play area, diving tower, ground trampoline, beach volleyball court and sliding soccer (a slippery, fun game of soccer). The 6,000 m² bathing lake is surrounded by an equally large sunbathing lawn for relaxing, playing or simply sunbathing. As if that wasn't enough, the “Ramsauna”, an ensemble of log cabins with a Finnish and steam sauna, invites you to enjoy a pleasantly warm wellness experience on cooler summer days.

The “Rittisberg Coaster” offers the best opportunity for all those who like it fast downhill. Over a length of 1,300 meters, you whizz silently through the trees on steel tubes - the only thing you can hear is the screaming. You can whizz down at a rapid or leisurely pace in orange one- or two-seaters, as you can control the speed yourself. A special lift system then takes you back up the mountain - whatever the weather, rain or shine!

No holidaymaker should miss out on the “Forest Park” high ropes course - pure adrenaline is promised! Adjacent to the leisure center, the high ropes course was built in a forest of ropes and tree trunks. Great care was taken not to damage the trees. Four courses of varying difficulty are located between the 30-meter-high spruce trees. Equipped with climbing ropes, harnesses and helmets, the obstacles in the form of jumps, swings or rope and net bridges at a height of 2 to 15 meters between the trees must be overcome. An exciting experience for children and adults - provided you have a little courage and are able to overcome yourself!

While some climb between the treetops, those with sporting ambitions who prefer to stay on the ground can practise archery. After practising the right technique at the shooting range, they head off into the forest equipped with bow and arrow, just like Robin Hood, on a course with 3D targets. This mental and spiritual training, combined with stress-free movement in the tranquil natural surroundings, contrasts with the action and brings mental strength and inner peace when focusing on a target.

In addition to excitement and games, the Rittisberg adventure world also offers a variety of hiking trails. The cozy fairytale trail leads past many beautiful figures to the Rittisstadl with the I LOVE RITTISBERG high-altitude playground. The fairytale trail was awarded the “Austrian Hiking Seal of Quality” in 2011. And if you're already on the Rittisberg, you shouldn't miss the family-friendly hut magic. The beautiful Rittisberg circular hiking trail “From hut to hut”, with various entry points, is highly recommended. At the individual huts, many animals are waiting to be petted by visitors of all ages!

The viewing tower at the summit cross (1,582 m) offers a fabulous panoramic view of the Dachstein region, the Schladminger Tauern, the Enns Valley, the Hochkönig mountains and even the Großglockner. The summit of the Rittisberg is an easily accessible destination for everyone. Baby carriages can also be pushed effortlessly along this hiking trail.
If you are just looking for the summit experience, the 10-seater Rittisberg gondola lift takes you up the mountain without any effort.

All those who want a very special way of getting back down the mountain can hire a scooter from the Rittisstadl - fun for the whole family on the downhill run from Rittisberg!
