From the train station, go left and then immediately up the ramp to cross the railway line – directly in front of the Elefantenkreisel, go immediately left into Bruchwiesen Street – right into Gartenstraße – Sandstraße and at the end onto the foot-/cycle path to the roundabout, then continue on Römerstraße to the left onto the L 395 state road and immediately right again following the cycle path signs into Kinderlehre until the starting point of the Life Path (large information board) and Station 1 Alsen Spring – continue following the cycle path signs to Burgstraße and turn right but immediately left again into Herlenbergstraße and follow the signs "Geldlochhütte" – from Blüchersteig it goes steeply uphill (can also be pushed) – further uphill to Station 2 Start of a Path and further uphill to Station 3 Crossroads (here the climb of about 850 m ends) – now continue right to Station 4 Resting Bench with a wonderful view over Alsenborn – only a short way further is Station 5 Family Tree – go past the A6 underpass down the asphalt path and on the right side is Station 6 Accidental Death – now it goes steeply downhill with a right curve and immediately on the forest edge left are Stations 7 and new 7a Views and Bench of Encounters – now very shortly follow each other Stations 8 Field Cross and Station 9 Labyrinth (here stopping and walking through the labyrinth is an experience) – at the labyrinth go right over the asphalt farm road with a wonderful view to Station 10 Christ Thorn (Catholic Church St. Joseph) – continue to Rosenhofstraße with crossing and directly opposite Station 11 End of a Path (Protestant Church – Sarcophagus) and Station 12 Rose Shrub (Protestant Church – Parish House) with this we have cycled the Life Path – go back on Rosenhofstraße to the right to the Bajasseum – continue following the cycle path signs to the Elefantenkreisel – here turn left to the shopping market and up Ziegelstraße to the small hill, left further along the bypass road and then at a sharp angle back to the railway barrier (this is opened by a call system when no train is coming – and deregistration when you have crossed) – now go to the Monastery Well and the Monastery Church – continue on Klosterstraße to St. Mihiel Square (Partner City) – it is only about 250 m to the station now – a relaxed finish is also possible in the nearby restaurants before returning

Proper equipment is crucial for safety and comfort when cycling. Here are some important components:
Bicycle: Choose a bike that suits your riding style (e.g., mountain bike, racing bike, city bike). Helmet: A well-fitting cycling helmet protects your head in case of falls. Cycling clothing: Breathable and comfortable clothing designed for cyclists ensures more comfort. This includes cycling jerseys and padded shorts. Gloves: Cycling gloves provide grip and protect your hands. Shoes: Special cycling shoes or comfortable sports shoes with good grip are important. Lights and reflectors: For safety in road traffic, front and rear lights as well as reflectors are essential, especially in darkness. Tool kit: A small set of tools for repairs on the go can be very helpful. Water bottle and holder: Hydration is important, so remember a water bottle and holder on the bike. Saddle: A comfortable saddle can make a big difference on longer rides. Bike bag: A bag or backpack for personal items and snacks is practical. With this equipment, you are well prepared for your bike rides!
On the bike tour we ride on paths and roads with alternating surfaces. In some areas, we ride over agricultural and forest service roads. Depending on the weather (after rain, winter frost) and also due to forestry and agricultural work, these areas can have worse surfaces. Gravel is also possible. Increased caution is therefore required here. If the surface differs from the one specified, please inform the author so that it can be corrected.
