From Engeldorf to the hunting lodge - a tour with a view of the castle

You start at Grünhainichen/Borstendorf station, cross the Flöhabrücke bridge and drive up the village of Borstendorf. In the center of the village, a signpost will lead you in the direction of Leubsdorf, right next to the former town hall. Now follow this road, which is not very busy, past the quarry to Leubsdorf. Once in Leubsdorf, keep right at the crossroads at Lindenhof and immediately turn left into a side road. This road leads you past a housing estate and briefly becomes a gravel path. Keep left at the crossroads and you will now reach the Höhenstraße, with a wonderful panorama in the direction of Hohenfichte. You now always follow the road. A cobbled road leads you back downhill to the Flöha valley. Keep left again at the crossroads, cycle directly to Hohenfichte and cross the Flöha using the wooden bridge. After crossing the railroad line, you come to another crossroads where you keep right. Follow this road straight ahead and leave Hohenfichte before passing through the small but very idyllic village of Grünberg. Once you have mastered the ascent along the village road, keep left at the former inn and cycle along the cycle path towards Augustusburg. At the end of the cycle path, keep left immediately, cycle along the housing estate and follow the road past the fire station and the sports field. Continue along the road and you can explore Augustusburg. After the sports field, however, continue straight ahead onto the gravel road, turn right at the next building and then immediately turn left again towards the nursing home. Pass the nursing home, cross the connecting road to Schellenberg and continue along the gravel path. Now you come to an asphalt road and keep slightly left and continue straight on at the next junction in the direction of Scheibe/ Marbach. You have now passed through the narrow upper village of Schellenberg. Now follow this road past the cattle shed of the Marbach agricultural cooperative and turn slightly left at the next crossroads into the village of Marbach. Once in Marbach, keep right at the junction with the village road in the direction of Grünhainichen. This road now takes you to the entrance to Grünhainichen. In Grünhainichen, keep left at the Sparkasse bank, pass the music box and turn right into Mühlenstraße. This leads you downhill into the Flöhatal valley, past the Spanziehmühle mill to Mühlenplatz. At Mühlenplatz, keep left and cycle to the start and finish at the train station.
