It leads to places steeped in history, across idyllic meadows and landscapes. The ruins of the old monastery church can still be found in the monastery grounds. The old Fuchsturm tower, the oldest building in Grünhain, belonged to the Ziesterzienster monastery around 1437. The exact use of the building during the monastery period is not known. Today, the tower is used by the carving association. There is also a carving exhibition, which can be visited by prior arrangement. Continue through the village of Grünhain up to the tower path, where the König-Albert-Turm on the Spiegelwald is already clearly visible. The tower is equipped with an elevator. At a height of 31.5 m, visitors are rewarded with a fascinating panoramic view, weather permitting. The theme of the Cistercians is illustrated and explained to visitors in detail in a multimedia cultural landscape.

The start and finish is at the Spiegelwald at the König-Albert-Turm in Grünhain. Follow the yellow markings to Waschleithe in an easterly direction along the edge of the Spiegelwald forest with a view of Grünhain and down to the old locomotive on August-Bebel-Straße in the Beierfeld district. Turn left and follow the yellow markings to the right after the repair station. Along Raschauer Straße, turn into Seifenbachweg and continue to follow the yellow markings until you reach Hotel Osterlamm. Here, turn left into the forest and follow the special Mönch markings to Grünhain Röhrenweg. Continue downhill, cross Oswaldtalstraße and keep left towards "Elterleiner Straße" until you reach the monastery grounds. Walk through the monastery grounds. Here you will find the ruins of the old monastery church and the oldest building in Grünhain, the Fuchsturm. At the exit of the monastery grounds on Zwönitzer Straße, the path leads along Gartenstraße to Ententeich. Cross the road to Turmweg here. The destination is already in sight.
