Great trail running round in Maria Alm, Aberg, Hundstein and Schwalbenwand which should not be underestimated. The HK30-PANORAMA Trail distance runs over asphalt, gravel and great single trails and is characterized by being a very varied trail running round.
The HK3-PANORAMA Trail starts at the Natrunbahn parking lot in Maria Alm. From there, you immediately take path no. 26 up to the Natrun. Once at the top, you reach the Jufenalm, which with its wildlife enclosure and the view into the valley is the first highlight of the route.
From there, the trail continues to the Prinzensee on path no. 401A, a small mountain lake in a dreamlike setting, before you pass the Tom Alm hut. Then follows a steep descent back to the valley where you reach the town of Maria Alm.
At the entrance to the town, the route crosses the main road towards Unterberg, from where the next big ascent on path no. 11,28 begins – up to the Aberg. You follow a steadily ascending path (path no. 445), past the Schranbachalm (unmanaged), until you finally reach the scenic summit plateau of the Hundstein, at 2,117 m the highest point of the tour. In good weather, a 360° panorama of the Hohe Tauern, the Hochkönig, and the Stone Sea can be seen here.
The trail now continues along the ridge to the Schwalbenwand on path no. 446, a popular hiking destination with a gentle ridge course. From there begins the long descent across the alpine pastures of Hinterreit, where the terrain opens up again and the view of Maria Alm becomes free.
The last kilometers run along wide paths and meadow trails back into the valley. Finally, you reach the starting point again at the Natrunbahn parking lot in Maria Alm.

Self-assessment: Before every mountain tour, check your physical fitness and assess your strength as well as that of your companions – especially your children! Surefootedness and freedom from dizziness are often very important!
Planning and preparation: Plan every intended mountain tour carefully in advance. Hiking maps and guides as well as information from alpine clubs and locals such as mountain guides and hut hosts can be helpful.
Equipment: In the mountains you need the appropriate equipment and clothing, especially sturdy, high footwear with a grippy sole. Weather and cold protection are essential, as the weather can often change unexpectedly.
Weather forecasts: Note the current weather conditions at: zamg.at or www.uwz.at.
Togetherness: Observe the 10 rules for the proper handling of grazing animals and do not leave any waste in nature!
Do not dislodge stones: Do not dislodge stones as this can seriously endanger other hikers. Marked areas with rockfall hazard should be crossed as quickly as possible with attention and caution.
Turn back in time: This is no disgrace but a sign of reason. It becomes necessary if the weather changes, fog sets in, or if the path is too difficult or not in good condition.
Emergency numbers: Alpine emergency: 140, International emergency: 112, Rescue: 144
