Spielberghorn

The starting point is Tödlinggut in Leogang. Cross the federal road here and follow the path into the forest. Alternately, it goes over meadows and through the forest until you gain height and see the first summit of this hike. Follow the signs via Sonnkogel, Kuhfeldhörndl to the Spielberghorn. This hike requires very good fitness and involves a lot of elevation gain. 

Alternative route: From the parking lot at the Knappenstube head west over the creek up to Adamalm, from there east to Scheltaualm, then into the gully and over Spielbergsattel to the summit of Spielberghorn.

Note: You can descend along the Tyrolean/Saltzburg border, first heading southwest and then south to the Spielbergtörl. From the Törl go east down to the Spielbergalms. Be careful when wet, as the descent leads over a clay path.

BY BUS

You can conveniently reach the starting point by bus via the stop "Grießen B164". The stop is directly at the starting point of the hike. More information can be found at https://fahrplan.salzburg-verkehr.at/ 

A marked hiking parking lot is available at the starting point at Tödlinggut (limited number).
