Bruck: 14+444 | Gries via Moosalm to Hundstein

The hike starts in Gries at the bakery. On foot or by car, the path leads gently uphill along the Grieser Graben to the barrier (free parking available).

Turn left over the farm road with several hairpin bends up to the Moosalm, which is operated in summer (walking time approx. 2 hours).

From the terrace, you have a wonderful view of the Salzach valley and the Drei Brüder.

Refreshed, from the Moosalm you have the possibility to continue on the steep ascending path or to ascend further on a forest road. At the first fork, a path leads left to the idyllic and hidden Adam and Eva lakes. These are worth a detour. (Moosalm – Adam and Eva lakes 45 min)

The path to Hundstein leads right at the fork, following a narrow hiking trail up to a ridge (Moosalmhöhe), which you walk along to farm road no. 444. A magnificent view opens up to the Hundstein and to the east and southeast up to the Tauern. Continue past Ochsenkopf and on a narrow path the last 200 vertical meters to the Statzerhaus at Hundstein (2,117 m). (Moosalm – Hundstein 3 hours)
