Family hike to the Reitlehenalm | Circular route

From the town center, walk on the sidewalk to the Eder bakery, then cross the railway on Alleestraße and keep left. After 40 meters turn right into Edtsiedlung. Walk to Edthof (youth guesthouse), keep left at the parking lot and follow the yellow signs on the trail. At the junction of the trail to forest road no. 12 (KITIWAPF) turn right and continue until the fork Moosalm/Reitlehenalm. There turn left and follow the trail to Reitlehenalm. 

Descent: From Reitlehenalm descend on the access road to the trail signposted (right at the turnstile) on trail no. 11 and always follow the signs to Eben (hiking trail no. 11). Other return routes from easy to moderate are possible (trail no. 13/13A or partly no. 12).

Good footwear, water bottle, rain protection

If coming from the highway, take exit 60 Eben. At the roundabout, head towards Eben and drive through the town. After the railway crossing, turn right: parking available at the Monte Popolo lift parking lot.

Coming on the B99 from Hüttau, also at the roundabout head towards Eben and drive through the town to the lift parking lot. Coming from Altenmarkt on the B99, the lift parking lot is about 300m after the beginning of the town area on the right side.
