The Nordic walking route is mostly a flat route without winter maintenance. Part of the route goes on boardwalks and some on a soft trail covered with chips. The length of the route is approx. 7 km. On this route you can admire beautiful river views, magnificent nature and open fields. The route first goes from Kirjurinluoto to Raatimiehenluoto and then continues to the Hevosluoto side. From Hevosluoto you come past the Polsanluoto nature trail boat ferry and continue from Hanhipuisto deadwood garden back to Kirjurinluoto. The route is a comprehensive experience if you want to get to know the islet area properly. The route is easy to walk.
The route is part of Pori's national urban park, a network of the most valuable central green areas and parks in the city center. Along the routes of the urban park complex you will find lots of interesting nature and cultural history, see more: National Urban Park Story Map.
The Nordic walking route is fully signposted, making it easy to follow right from the starting point. The route starts from Kirjurinluoto towards Raatimiehenluoto, after which it switches to the Hevosluoto side. From Hevosluoto, you walk past the Polsanluoto boat ferry, all the way from the Hanhipuisto deadwood garden back to Kirjurinluoto.

No winter maintenance.
In rainy weather, in autumn and winter, the boardwalk can be slippery.
You can arrive by car at Kirjurinluodontie 2, 28100 Pori.

The parking lot at Kirjurinluodontie 2, 28100 Pori can accommodate plenty of cars.
