The Panoramaweg is slowly coming to an end, but on this penultimate stage there is still a significant climb. However, not without a reward. At the highest point of the route, the Barigauer Tower at 666 m awaits with a magnificent panoramic view over the central Schwarzatal.
You start in Schwarzmühle near the Flair-Hotels Waldfrieden and follow the river downhill always along the railway line. Passing the Katharinenkirche in Mellenbach-Glasbach, you finally turn north in the district of Glasbach and follow the Barigauer valley up to the plateau.
Continue gently downhill on foot via Oberhain past the A.O. Siegmund liqueur factory to Sitzendorf. Along the Fröbelturmblick and the snake beech tree, you finally reach the Bismarckturm. It is one of the oldest Bismarck towers in all of Germany (built in 1895). Shortly thereafter, you reach the end of this stage at Dissauer Tor.
Stop of the Schwarzatalbahn in Meuselbach-Schwarzmühle - Zirkel - Mellenbach-Glasbach - Reinhardtstal - Barigauer Höhe - Oberhain - Hädderbachtal - Blambachtal - Bismarckturm - Dissauer Tor

If possible, never leave the marked hiking trails. Especially on steep mountain stages, carry enough drinking water.
Coming from the A73 take exit 4 (Schleusingen) and continue towards Hinterlahn. Turn right in the town and follow the road towards Lichtenau - Schönbrunn - Gießübel - Masserberg. At the Rennsteig parking lot "Schwalbenhaupt-Wiese" continue straight ahead towards Oelze - Katzhütte - Schwarzmühle
You can conveniently travel to Meuselbach-Schwarzmühle with the trains of the Schwarzatalbahn . Also use the German Rail travel portal.
The end of the stage (Dissauer Tor) is located close to the Schwarzburg train station.
Use the parking facilities at the stop of the Schwarzatalbahn (NAV point)
