Senselerweg: Zehenter Alm via Naviser Kreuzjoch to Toldern

From the Zehenter Alm down the forest road to the Peeralm. Before the Peeralm, follow the turnoff onto the Naviser Almenrunde – which is also a mountain bike route (path no. 325). Follow this path until the turnoff to the Naviser hut, then continue to path no. 26 to the Naviser Kreuzjöchl (2536m).

There is an alternative ascent to the Naviser Kreuzjöchl via path no. 25. This route passes the Poltenalm and the Stöckalm. Both alpine huts offer the possibility to stop for refreshments.

From the summit of the Naviser Kreuzjöchl, follow the Wipptal Höhenweg no. 25a steeply down to the Kluppe. The path runs along steep meadows on a slope. Botanically interested hikers will find rare alpine flowers here such as the black monkshood. From the Kluppe, descend towards the valley to Kasern. Follow the path and cross a short suspension bridge. After about 40 minutes, you reach Kasern.

A visit to the guesthouse is recommended there.

The way from Kasern to Toldern is not very impressive. You should take the bus. Some holiday apartment landlords offer pickup services in Kasern.

The accommodations in Toldern are mostly holiday apartments. We recommend contacting the Wipptal Tourism Association. You will almost always find a good solution there.

If you want to interrupt the Senselerweg, you can take the public bus from Kasern to Steinach am Brenner. From there, take the train back.
