This route is ideal for those seeking peace and nature. It also offers a panoramic view of our mountains. At the start of the walk, you will pass very close to the François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory, where the sun can be observed during the day and stars, planets, and galaxies in the evening (dates and reservations: www.ofxb.ch). The Path of the Planets is the ultimate family educational trail. It invites you to traverse the 6 billion km of the solar system along the 6 kilometers of the path connecting Tignousa to the Weisshorn Hotel. The planets, arranged at proportional distances and scale, are designed as works of art. Each has its own identity card with its characteristics and technical data.
This route starts at the funicular arrival (Tignousa). The path passes near the François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory located 100m to the right of the funicular arrival. You will then enter the Path of the Planets, where you can discover the celestial bodies along an easy route. From "Chiesso," after crossing the bridge, the more serious part begins. On a small trail, you will ascend to the Weisshorn Hotel.
