Hotel Alpen Arnika

In the heart of the vast ski resort in Styria, Austria, the Hotel Alpen Arnika warmly welcomes you. With 24 comfortable rooms and a capacity of 60 beds, it provides not only cozy accommodation, a restaurant, but also a sports bar, where you can enjoy moments of relaxation or organize corporate or family meetings. In addition, you will find a sauna and a children's playroom, making it an ideal place not only for ski enthusiasts and hiking lovers.

Enter the world of excellent gastronomy on the Tauplitz plateau! The restaurant, along with the entire hotel, is under the management of Czech hotelier and chef Petr Heneš. Enjoy the experience of modern Austro-Czech cuisine, which is characterized by high quality dishes with an emphasis on local ingredients and farm products.

We are the only restaurant on the Tauplitz plateau where you can enjoy Pilsner Urquell beer on tap. With 100 seats inside and around 60 on the outdoor terrace right next to the slope. Along with the great food, you can also enjoy the wonderful view.

A summer stay at the Tauplitzalm offers views of the breathtaking mountain panorama, fresh mountain air and beautiful alpine meadows. The greatest treasure of the Tauplitz plateau is the easy hike around the 6 lakes, which is one of the most beautiful lake trips in Austria. The advantage of this route is that everyone can choose a shorter or longer option according to their fitness, mood and available time. Apart from the viewpoint over Lake Steirersee, it is also possible to reach it with a stroller or wheelchair on the road with a slight incline.

For adrenaline lovers, the Tauplitzalm offers the beautiful, moderately demanding Gamsblick Klettersteig (difficulty B/C) via ferrata with beautiful views of the limestone peaks of the Totes Gebirge.

The entire plateau is home to a unique alpine flora with over 250 species of alpine plants and herbs, including the alpine rose (rhododendron), gentians, primroses and bright yellow mountain arnica.
