Lyžiarske stredisko Zell am Ziller / Zillertal Arena

Zell am Ziller - located at 575m above sea level, is the geographic and historic center of the Zillertal valley. Together with the mountain hamlets of Gerlosberg, Hainzenberg, Zellberg and Rohrberg it offers more than 5000 beds.

In addition to plenty of snow, it has got a great offer of leisure facilities including everything from sledding (7 km in Hainzenberg), curling, skating, a gold mine and an observatory.

When it comes to fun & action, the Zillertal Arena offers a wide range of exciting highlights for an unforgettable day on the slopes. The Action Park Kreuzwiese impresses with a cool chill-out area, while the action-packed Fun Run, SkiMovie and Speed Check provide extra thrills and friendly competition. In Gerlos, the snowpark with integrated obstacles adds variety and creative riding lines, and the boardercross track in Königsleiten guarantees fast-paced fun and pure adrenaline. This is where every ski day turns into a real experience.

In Zell, Gerlos (Tyrol), Königsleiten/Wald and Krimml/Hochkrimml (Salzburg) one travels at altitudes of up to 2,500 metres above sea level. With its approximately 30 huts, snow bars and restaurants, ski schools with their own colourful fairytale landscapes for the smallest skiers and, last but not least, a high altitude cross-country trail at 1,600 metres the Zillertal Arena has earned its reputation as the 7th heaven for all fans of the Alpine winter.

New from winter 2025/26: Rosenalmbahn modernization

Key facts about the modernized Rosenalmbahn

Level Walk-In: A barrier-free, comfortable entrance allows our guests to board and disembark even more comfortably and quickly – access is made significantly easier, especially for families with strollers, wheelchair users, and cyclists.
*Unchanged route in two sections on the Rosenalm
New 8-person cabins (Omega IV/8):* The modern 8-person Omega IV/8 cabins offer more space and comfort and enable faster and more efficient transport.
New electronics and control system: The entire electronics and control system of the cable car are being modernized to ensure even safer and more reliable operation.
Partial modernization of the stations: Some stations are being modernized to further optimize boarding and disembarking for guests and make operations more efficient.
