The largest route on the Moosenmättle initially leads through the shady Moosen forest and then across the open high plateau past the Waldhäuser to Schanzhäusle. The remains of the old fortification line are clearly visible. It continues to Sommerecke (Nature Friends House, closed on Tuesdays) and to Retschenkopf. In the upper Rotsal at the Staigerhofs, we join route 2 and return to Liefersberg. In the Moosen forest and from the Waldhäuser, we encounter routes of the neighboring communities Hornberg and Lauterbach, so please pay close attention to the signage.
